Polyethylene (PE)

Polyethylene (PE) is a thermoplastic, semi-crystalline, non-polar plastic. The different polyethylenes are distinguished by their molar mass (molecular weight), which determines the physical properties of each type of polyethylene. 

They are characterised by their excellent chemical resistance, good electrical insulation and good sliding behaviour.

However, only the mechanical properties of PE-UHMW, the type used by FlytigerCNC, are very good. This type of polyethylene is therefore outstanding when used as a technical material for use in machine construction.
